Grupo Milícia began its activity in 1994 and now manages 6 conjoined companies with which aspires to build a better and safer world.
With headquarters in Portugal and affiliates in Cape Verde, Angola, and Brazil, our motto, "From professionals to professionals", embodies the unique way we envision and carry out our activity throughout the world.
It is with both this eagerness and this motto always tied together that we have responded to the challenges presented nationally and internationally in two major areas:
• Security: Focused in military, police and security solutions.
• Safety: Focused in protection, rescue, firefighters, civil protection and others emergency services authorities.
We have constantly participated in the updating of the Forças Armadas Portuguesas as well as numerous organs of the Polícia Criminal, and also several agents of Proteção Civil.
We can state with pride we are regularly considered as strategic retailer partner of equipment by United Nations Peacekeeping Forces, as in most recent conflicts of Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Est-timor, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Our activity is also developed in international markets where most of our clients are governmental organizations or licensed institutions, to whom we always guarantee solutions with utmost trust and security.
Besides showing the level of the challenges we are willing to overcome, in themselves, these facts reflect the enormous responsibility and ethical conduct of Grupo Milícia.
For a proximity policy to all types of clients from institutional to individual type, we have stores opened to the general public in Portugal, Cape Verde, and Angola, where we sell uniforms, personal protection items amongst a vast list of other products.

Where We Are
Our headquarters is in Vila Nova de Gaia where we own our facilities complex built from scratch, which holds the following departments:
• Administration;
• Human Resources, management and control;
• Commercial Department;
• Retail Area;
• Showroom for institutional clients;
• Project management, assistance and training;
There is also a meeting room, a licensed dog shelter for breeding and training, and a warehouse with a vast list of products in stock ready for worldwide delivery.
In Lisbon, Cape Verde, Angola and Brazil we have stores, opened to the general public, retailing uniforms, personal protection equipment and a lot of other products.
But the facilities do not reflect "Where We Are". Only through a continuing collaboration with our clients we are able to understand in detail the reality of each country or remote location where we operate.
The greater skills of mobilization and adaptation, which distinguishes us, allow us to rapidly be in any place of the 5 continents assuring the highest quality in the services offer. Our teams are where our clients most need them to be.

With high skills of resiliency, adaptation and qualification our collaborators have the most distinguishable resumes not only from the training and education perspective but also from a perspective of professional experience acquired in different contexts. Almost all of our collaborators have international experience in war theater operations, peace support, humanitarian support, logistics, assistance and training, chiefly in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, east-Timor, Afghanistan, Iraq, Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique and Brazil.
Beyond previous training and experience of its collaborators, Grupo Milícia strives to guarantee their knowledge is always up to date by providing them regularly with training and education of the highest standard, including visits to countries with teaching credentials in diverse areas.
